I just saw a NATO tank on a Greek beach...Litohoron...Oh memories of childhood...it was at that beach that a bunch of Greek boys were going after cute Serb girls...we are talking yeeeeeears back...

and now tanks going to Kosovo to save Albanians.......how ironic and how bizzare?

Anyway, the beach is almost five minutes from the main highway that will lead to Skopje, FYROM. It is also away from Thessaloniki and its big port which is downtown and lots of cafes surround it....I could see the Greek dock workers sipping coffee and smoking cigarettes all of a sudden ordering ice cream, eggs and tomatoes to welcome the humanitarian bombers.

Anyway, what I said before still stands:

1. Kosovo will remain a part of Yugoslavia. No independence referendum crap. Borders stay as is.
2. There will be less Albanians in Kosovo. All the lucky people who left Kosovo for the West have already been doing their papers to bring their extended families with them (the key word is extended<g>). And I don't think a lot of them will go back, go back to what? On the contrary I think Nato may bus them back forcefully in order to show that they have achieved their main goal, to bring the Kosovars home (who were all in their homes before the bombing started).
3. The KLA's days are numbered. This will be difficult but Nato had to sign on to this, otherwise no deal. I heard some Nato official say that KLA has 3 options: lay down your weapons, lay down your weapons, lay down your weapons.
4. Reconstruction. Milosevic will be taken care off soon if that is what it takes in order to rebuild Serbia proper and not just Kosovo.

The latest negotiations (after hearing the Nato official talk) solidifid that Nato will protect ALL the ethnic civilians in Kosovo.

What's left to be determined is the Russian troop participation.

This is just what the Serbs got...

Plus a feeling of standing up to the mighty alliance for almost 3 months!!

This could have been negotiated by some competent diplomats and avoid the loss of life (about 2000 civilians dead..........hey, wait a minute this is how many dead were in Kosovo BEFORE the bombing since the KLA started terrorizing civilians and police!), incredible destruction and suffering, along with pissing everyone off who, naturally, played it to its advantage to go along with this TRAGEDY!!!!!!!!!!

I am rambing here..........those Knicks are really something!
