Hello Frank, I am sorry about what appears to be a shoot first, ask questions later approach. I am fond of you both and I do not want to hurt you or Ahhaha's reps. However, my good wishes for your reps doesn't do squat to convince me that something is not wrong. The whole deal here with SR smells very much like a can of worms which has been left sitting out in the sun for a few days. Tell me it ain't so then.
I have lurked on this thread for quite some time and have read most if not all of the posts on it. We are all aware that there are many scam companies in existence. Most scams go into and out of existence and we don't even hear of them. Every minute, somewhere in the world, a new scam is invented. I am also aware certain things that lead me to believe that SR is probably a scam.
Ahhaha wrote: ... <<<In order to realize the goal of worldwide broadband service there has to be an alternative technology. The only known one to me is SR although land based wireless is coming on strong. Frank and I would love to be expressly bullish, but the company feels the core technology needs to be cloaked. You can't talk about what you don't know. The company apparently is teaching SR at UCSD and lecturing about it world wide, so they are putting it in the public domain. We don't get any information from there or anywhere else so we don't know to what extent the technology is being revealed. >>>
Ahhaha's statement above puts one brick into the foundation for my previous statement. Your creation of the SR thread together also puts one brick into the foundation.
First of all, Ahhaha said <<<In order to realize the goal of worldwide broadband service there has to be an alternative technology. >>> Ahhaha is incorrect. We do not need to have an alternate technology to have worldwide broadband. That statement in this context can be considered to be hype for the SR technology.
<<< The company feels the technology needs to be cloaked ... ...We don't get any information from there or anywhere else so we don't know to what extent the technology is being revealed.... >>> This is typical wording used in a scam. "Just trust me, send in your money."
Ahhaha has been supportive of this so called technology in previous posts on this thread (Footings for Foundation poured ).
IMO, you have given this so called technology credibility by 1.) Creating the SR thread to discuss it. Progress report: Evacuation for Foundation completed 2.) I have seen plugs for SR thread on ATHM this is how I found it. (any elsewhere)? (each plug is worth one brick in my foundation) 3.) Actual discussion on the SR thread.
Meanwhile I presume that the SR company is selling shares to private investors. This has been mentioned on the thread too.
If the technology is a scam, It is my opinion that you and Ahhaha appear to be helping to support the scam. This would be true IMO even though you are not being paid for it. You may not like it to be in that position so it is something to want to consider or reconsider.
You wrote: ... <<You will never know how far off, how wrong, you actually are, ...>> Why not, please tell me? I am not trying to be cute, I would just like to know something I don't know, please tell me what I should know and need to know to allay my wrongly directed suspicions.
Why should I not know now and not know never? <:}
