13th Floor dropping from #7 to #5, and it does bore people to death.
The best scene was the fade from the skyline of LA to the silhouette of some supercomputers - that basically told the whole story of miniaturising a city on a microchip.

How many of these simulated-reality flicks do we have to endure? To my mind the best one was not The Matrix, it was Dark City with all its German inter-war film references that made sense, not simply justify the lack of any cohesion to the film. Cronenberg's forgettable latest effort would be one of the worst examples of this un-reality genre.
