Re: MSFT and trial

In the end, isn't it simple, aren't investors big and small in it for the $? And isn't MSFT still the best-run company (I think so). And as you point out in your recent travels, and as their flurry of recent acquisitions shows, they're positioning themselves aggressively for the future.

They're relentless. Even if they don't "bully" a competitor, they just do them one better until their product wins. Again and again. I admit that may strike fear in the "hearts" of every other business out there, but that's just tough.

So that's why the trial is ultimately irrelevent, even tho its consuming $, energy and time. Also, I would suspect in some odd way it's reassuring to see their "bullying" tactics. I like that they're cutthroat and ruthless. Again--I'm an investor, the only decisionin the end is, "Will they make me $?" Besides, as MSFT goes, so the tech sector goes...business has deep-down conflicting interests here. Harm MSFT too much and you harm the whole economy. The states know that, the judge knows that...

Thus my morning thots before coffee!
