Jacalyn, "journalist" Dale points out the high profile competition as a negative. Could be, but AOL, MSN and others were already there when X-Stream went "free" and they were forced to change their business model to try to compete with X-Stream and other freebies. The market is there and that is why you see so many new faces jumping in as added competitors. Having such a viable market is actually great news and not a negative.
The real potential bad news is that AOL is leading a movement to make on-line calls in the UK free all the time. As I recall, X-Stream was trying to get to a point where they made most of their money by advertisement. At this point, however, much of their revenue still comes from their split of what the phone companies charge for internet access calls. If AOL can get that through then you have a system similar to the US and AOL is very familiar with how to crush competition in that kind of environment. Jeff
