The deal, should it take place, is extremely meaningful whether the stock reacts prior to its announcement or not. It will give Raytec much needed credibility (don't forget Raytec is listed on the VSE and that does not sell very well across the border) and exposure to a larger and more powerfull audience. And again as I mentioned before I don't think these guys would get involved unless they already knew that they can put something together that will dramatically add value, incidentally increase the market cap and benefit the shareholders and, let's not forget, a chance for them to earn their fees. Being classified as an industrial more than a technology company, the stock is illiquid and not for day traders really but, in my opinion, it will offer the opportunity to earn substantial capital gains for stockholders. What I mean is that Raytec, imo, will move quickly to a new price level with corporate developments, in other words it will tend to gap more than anything else. With this agreement in place, I will feel more confident than ever that Raytec's technology is real and that there is a lucrative demand for it. |
