frank...hasn't "mikey" already beaten the competition?
if you are really good at what you do, your plans aren't altered by revealing same...wasn't "mikey" the one who boldly proclaimed as a young man that he would "beat ibm"????
so why the silence of direction...intc freely spoke yesterday of new development, years away, ibm, hwp, t did the same thing..
if you are the best at what you do, then the only harm that competition can do is in pricing pressure.
all heard recently from dell pr has been "we are good, outperform our competition, keep an eye on us, watch this space........."
a bit vague from a company who speaks freely about the importance of "vision"
nothing wrong with being the #1 pc company, but the market will value this "perception" accordingly...perhaps in the 20-30 pe range.....again, not a thing wrong, but a "different" dell |
