This web site is put up by the same group of tree huggers involved in trying to shut down the National Forests, stop logging in redwoods, and generally returning the world to their version of utopia.

Actually the US grows much more timber than it cuts. Old-growth is a very small % of timber cut in the US and is almost too valuable for just normal boards and studs. It is used for special uses, rather than general construction.

Contrary to their web "poopaganda", timber companies do replant all their lands, most states require it by law.

Since HD doesn't own any trees and doesn't cut any trees, only sells what is legal, available, and in demand, these socialist greenies are really just anti-big business in general.

I think I'll just go down to HD and buy a few old-growth redwood and Doug-fir timbers to keep and look at; and to bug the fuzzies.
