You may be right, but I believe over the past few years, they have substantially upgraded ( digitized) the services. If not in the remote areas, then at least in the more industrialized areas. As such, if there is a Y2K problem, then these areas would be worst affected, and these have the highest potential to do damage to the economy. Imagine the power supply in Bombay shutting down (Brrrr...)

On the other hand, maybe these newly installed systems are compliant...
