Lurker, you have missed a major point, the quality of life bill passed in 1994. Sprint won a 10 year non-compete contract which passed to Xecom, Select Switch. There is no competition allowed, by any one, large or small. Plus Xecom is guaranteed payment on billing. Also, keep in mind some people make a lot of money on dogs, i.e., stud services, buying, selling, breeding, racing, movies, etc.
