I love it! $500k on 32 red. But you are quite right. Diversification will only help you chase the broad indices while making your broker happy (thank you fees). If a small investor wants to diversify the should buy...no I can't say Mutual Fund... SPY or QQQ. A little levarage (say 20% of capital) and call yourself an enhanced index fund.

I like what you have written on at home. Did you catch the PBS piece the other eve on the telecomm act and the major networks. It seems to imply a level of (shall we call it) co-operation that make some of these players interesting. ATHM-T-TCI-Cox-MSFT and now NBC. I think the relationship with deep pocket parents and content providers will nurture ATHM through rough times. I like the story and have a small interest in the stock, but I am waiting for a little more pain in the market before a commit more capital.
