Redstone Telecom Corporate Background Information

About Redstone Telecom

Since being granted a licence to run a public
telephone network by the DTI in 1995, Redstone Telecom has
developed its own switching platform and associated customer
services and billing support systems. The company is privately financed and enjoys interconnect agreements with other operators including BT, CWC, One 2 One and Global One.

Redstone's overall objective is to deliver innovative solutions to customers' telecoms requirements, which are simple to use and
which represent great value for money.

Product Range

Redstone Telecom offers a range of inbound and outbound
telephony products to the corporate, small business
and domestic markets, including a range of personal
numbering services marketed under the Callsure brand name,
which is sold through Dixons The Link, DX Communications
and other dealer outlets.

Redstone also offers a comprehensive range of freephone,
local rate, national rate and premium rate phone
services. In addition, it markets a suite of products to
cut the cost of outbound telephony for corporate users,
including indirect access and private wire connection to
its extensive UK network.

Callsure

In March 1996, Redstone launched its first product,
Callsure Mobile which is a UK based personal numbering
service available from high street retailers including
Dixons The Link and DX Communications. Callsure Mobile is
primarily targeted at people who use mobile telephony to
assist them in business, allowing them to be totally
contactable by potential customers/clients on just one
number. Redstone was the first company to offer a
personal numbering service aimed specifically at the mobile
phone market, which allows diverted calls to be
received on any fixed or mobile phone free of charge.

Redstone also has a personal numbering service for fixed
telephone users, branded Callsure Office. This allows
calls to be diverted to any fixed phone in the UK and to
be received free of charge. Callers to this service are
charged at a lower rate than to Callsure Mobile. Callsure
is now the UK's leading personal number service, with
over 175,000 existing customers, which increases monthly
by an average of 10,000.

CallRoute

In July 1997, the first in a series of premium rate
services under the CallRoute brand was launched at the
50p per minute tariff. Revenues from these services are
shared with both the advertiser and the supplier of the
information service, usually an AudioTex bureau.

CallFree 0800i 0

In July 1998, Redstone launched CallFree 0800i 0, a
highly competitive freephone service for businesses,
both in terms of tariffs and functionality. This service
allows small and medium businesses, as well as large
corporations, to cost-effectively use 0800 numbers on
all of their advertising material, moving the UK closer
to the US model where ninety five per cent of businesses
use toll-free numbers.

CallLocal 0845

Redstone also launched CallLocal 0845, a local rate
number service, in July 1998.

CallNational 0870

Also in July 1998, Redstone launched CallNational 0870,
where callers are charged for a normal long distance call
and the recipient of the call can earn revenues.

CallTransfer

From July 1998, companies wishing to keep their
existing 0800 freephone, 0345 local rate and 0990
national rate numbers will be able to transfer to
Redstone's CallFree 0800i 0, CallLocal 0845 and
CallNational 0870 service, with the launch of
CallTransfer.

CallSwitch

Redstone has entered the corporate communications
market with CallSwitch. This service offers both
direct and indirect connection to the Redstone UK network,
which allows it to offer customers a quality network
with some of the lowest call charges in the industry. On 2nd
September 1998, Redstone launches its national directly
connected telecoms service operating the UK's fifth
largest network.

Management Team

The Redstone management team boasts a unique set of
skills evolved through direct involvement in significant
advancements in the telecoms industry over many years.
Redstone's management team includes Graham Cove,
Managing Director, Simon Thomas, Operations Director,
Alan Harrold, Finance Director, Matt Stevens, Sales
Director and Mark Slater, Customer Delivery Director.
All senior executives have extensive knowledge of the telecommunications industry as between them they have
worked for BT, Cellnet, One 2 One and Cable and Wireless.

The Company is based in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire and
currently has 70 employees, with imminent plans for
expansion.

I like their connection to Global One. That is a grouping
of Sprint, Deutsche Telekom and France Telecom. A grouping
of biggies! A foot in the door? Could be!

I tried 'www.witchity.com', but it didn't work. BTW,
I also tried 'www.witchity.co.uk', and it didn't work
either. Help!
