Uh oh, now I'm really in over my head...
Thanks for the kind words Rick. I do get a little carried away--sometimes when I'm on those graveyard shifts there is a pretty strange brew of Albuterol, coffee, diet pop and Cheerrios flowing through my system--the combination has a way of switching on the madness gene. I have an elegant solution...I pass out when I get home and sleep til after the market closes--does not even require the small molecule activator.
Folks should not interpret my excessive activity on this thread for wild enthusiasm, that has long since evaporated. And my 2500 shares represents a pretty modest percentage of my basket of these critters, especially when I total in my wife's brokerage account too-- which as I have mentioned is now Ariad-free.
The warrants at 1/16x3/32 are certainly not the sort of thing a person can trade away if you change your mind--in fact, it looks like I was fortunate to have been able to sell my wife's warrants for what I paid.
Today's market activity suggest somebody is still doing some selling--looks like about 100k shares put pressure on the stock late in the day. If I were coming to this stock fresh, without the cynicism which has built over the last year I should think that this would be a very good place to begin a "one third" position...and then buy another third around September when the dilutive effects of the convertible preferred shares will have finally ended. Then add a final third when the ol' recap query shows a few colorful bars marching across the screen.
But if you have been with this stock for awhile it would most certainly be best to just walk away.
If I'm all wound up tonight, I may summarize the last 200 posts, but with so many from me, perhaps not. And then, I will try hard to just walk away from Ariad If any lurkers have a strong opinion why this is not the right call, and you feel compelled to throw the ol' lunatic a bone, feel free to PM me.
Anybody at the company who reads this posts and feels I have not given this stock a fair enough hearing, I would be honored if you chose to email me--I hope I have not offended anybody, or my choice of words from time to time has not hurt anyone's feelings--I'm certainly not qualified to judge anything but the persistent direction of the stock price.
