Went to the company with your observation Rick...here is the response I was given. Makes sense to me. Later...Bool
BTW thanks for the prompt reply BIT...appreciate it.
Hello Jeff!
This is an excellent question. It shows that our investors are paying attention - this is always a good sign!
I assume you are referring to the decline in page views from 2,986,442 in April 99 to 2,561,788 in May 99. This compares to 993,466 page views in April of 98 and 993,221 in May of 98. As you have noticed, the page views held steady between April and May of 1998 yet showed a decrease in page views between April and May of this year.
We have no concerns about the decline in page views for May. In the past, the bulk of our subscribers were Canadian. Most Canadian schools complete school activities by mid-June, then they begin their final exam period. However, as you may know, the majority of our subscribers are now U.S.-based. Many U.S. states, particularly those in the south, complete school activities by mid- May. The decline you are observing reflects this shift in U.S./Canadian percentages of our subscriber base. Less of our subscribing schools are in session and actively using resources like Career Explorer during the latter half of the month of May.
Now, if you want to see a real decline in page views, watch the next few months of summer! Not to worry, our hit rates should be back to normal once our subscribers get through those first few weeks of school start-up in the Fall!
Thanks for your question and your kind comments about our company.
