James - With the exception of "E-tailer" part, I think you've expressed my view of Walmart precisely. Buy in the little dips, dollar-cost-average on the way down if it makes you feel better, and hold forever.

I'm not sure a giant, broadly physically deployed retailer like Walmart is going to incrementally gain in terms of customer spending. But it will be interesting to see how they go about the effort.
