Keven, thank you for the input. Can you disclose whether or not the chipsets currently on hand are 68- or 84-pin variety? If they are 68-pin, what provision is being made for a future hardware upgrade to the modem card. Or, is it Ascend's position that these modem cards can be firmware upgraded to the final ITU standard?

Also, is this a token deployment, or is Ascend receiving chipsets in substantial production quantities (as in multiple tens of thousands)?

I'm curious as to why my Ascend based ISP feels it will be several months before they will be able to deploy ROK's 56k. Any light you can shed will be appreciated.
