Having a large cash position has nothing to do with market timing. It does have something to do with prudence, and it provides flexibility so that you can take advantage of opportunity when it occurs. You imply that there is no opportunity and that fully invested is the right way. Such an approach requires nothing but good times. I didn't say can use, I said requires. You have to have everything work out just right indefinitely. That is an incredibly stupid attitude to take, but that's what a bull market will do to you.
