the Marines are NOT a Peace Keeping team. That is not what the military is, and just because Clinton doesn't know what the military should be used for, doesn't mean that CNBC has to show their ignorance.

If the mission of the military is not to keep the peace, then what is it? To keep us in a constant state of war? For Atilla the Hun maybe, but not in any civilized society. You can quibble with our policy in the Balkans if you wish, but I don't understand why it offends you so much to hear our military forces referred to as "peacekeepers".

I don't know that you'll like this term any better, but it is true that the Kosova troops are technically called "peace enforcers". This is as opposed to the troops in Bosnia, to whom the term "peacekeeper" does apply.
