The big problem with this case has been the Man from LaMancha presiding over the case. That is where the case is really being biased. He, like IBM, is seeking revenge for the last overturn.

JFD, I think his bias has been evident from day 1. You are right; he is after revenge. In addition, if he rules against the company, maybe he gets immortalized.
I remember he expanded the case --MSFT lawyers had thought they were dealing with a narrow issue.
I just hope he gets his revenge during the trial and not in his verdict.

This is really an IBM and Netscape case. The New York State AG was the most determined to go after MSFT. I bet certain states like New York would be the biggest barrier to a settlement. However, the guy did not get re-elected. I guess they have been "told" to keep MSFT in the press as long as possible. Like i stated before, breaking the consumer love affair with MSFT products is one half of their goal. MSFT finished number 1 in Asia as the most admired company and was near 1 or 2 in the USA before the suit was brought on. I think it has lost a few spots now.
