An excellent post! People fail to realize that truth is unchanging or it is not truth. For example, the science of cosmology or origins. The universe came into existence by some means. I believe there are limited possibilities. God or some outside force created or it developed by natural means. However it happened, it did so in a certain way that we can call truth. Any explanation different from the facts is error. If the God of the Bible created, then evolution, pantheism, Buddhism and many others are simply wrong. The question of belief or what works for me is irrelevant to the search for truth. If the God of Islam is true, I am wrong in my belief in Messiah Yeshua.
Praise God that we have convincing and credible evidence that Yeshua is true. The fact of witnesses, the formulation of the worlds calendar, the thousands of changed lives, the empty tomb, the testimony of many hostile sources and the triumph of His body against overwhelming odds. All these facts help strengthen my faith. If I am wrong, I will assume responsibility for it. Patronizing crap like "if it works for you" is intellectually dishonest and a denial of the existence of truth. Truth is true regardless of my or anyone else's belief. Truth would be true if no one knew it. No matter how strong we believed the earth was flat and how universal and strong that belief was, it was wrong. Let's allow ourselves the honesty to call error, error and the maturity to stand by our convictions.
