RE: Bottoming (My2cents)

We'll know soon enough, a few more economic reports are due out next week.

The good news: Most opinions on market have been bearish, that in itself is a bullish indicator. Also, Japan having a good quarter is first good news out of asian sector in a long time. I see a short rebound in July and early September before an irratic and irrational market begins in the fall.

The bad news: (Doom report)
It's still the summer months when the market traditionally cools a bit, and we still have Y2K coming up (even though most physical Y2k aspects shouldn't be a big problem, the psychological Y2K aspect going forward will, imo, have a large impact as I anticipate nearly everyone taking out "A FEW" dollars going into 2000. This should create at least a mini-panic come Sept/Oct/Nov, and the markets, in turn should remain shaky going into December.)

Conclusion: "IF" I'm right, buy good stocks going into Sept, and sell off early. Wait for traditional & Y2k lows in mid-late Dec, and STOCK UP! In late Jan/Feb the money taken out should come back in, along with normal January effect taking place in mid February-March. December buyers should make a killing next year.
