Read the news from January 29th Biggest one day halt in SEC history !!! 6 companies, one day. A day I now have marked on my calendar as a holiday. ;-)

I think 15 or so trading halts were instituted since the beginning of this year and a total of 11 last year. Not too many considering all the garbage that is allowed to trade.
