Re: sorry II
I now have a major clue as to what you meant as "representator" and hope I answered it tactfully.
When I spewed out my tirade about the euro, I not only was not explicit, but was not as specific as I should have been. I was refering to both the European union of nations and the singular money system. I am not as rabid about the, so called, new world order as EV is but my belief in the Bible makes me fearful of combinations that may lead to the fateful 13 and the anti-Christ.
Perhaps we need free and open trade with Europe but, it is a bitter pill for me to swallow that we would be absolutely dependent on any other nation of the world. The economic entanglement with over-seas countries bothers me a bit because I believe it make us vulnerable to the whims of non-Americans. This may seem rather snobbish of me, but that is not the concept I speak from. For the most part, and until recently, we didn't need any body to rely on. If we had a need or a problem, we fixed it ourselves. Unfortunately, in my eyes, WW-II changed all this and we became merely a player on the world stage. Since that time, the national confidence and independence has been seeping down the drain. Then we get a prez like Clinton, and become a laughing stock. He has made us the butt of worldwide jokes and that ticks me off.
The bailing of butts out of the fire bit, should have been directed at the British and French. Sadly, Germany was on the other side of the battle lines. What I was getting at was that in both world wars, we sent our young men to Europe to fight and die for other countrys' real estate and pride. Then, the Brits still treat us as some lowly class of colonists. I felt this resentment personally in Porto Banos (spelling) Spain. The French, who can't fight their way out of a wet paper bag, take our help to save their country and then spit on American tourists. Go figure!
I was not aware of the lack of training of Germany's soldiers and am a bit surprised. I can sympathize with you because of what slick Willy has done to our military. We are now at only about 50-60% of efficiency and strength that we were during the Gulf war. Our idiot prez should read " The Rise and Fall of the Roman Empire" to understand what happens when a nation decimates its military and turns to the debauchery and decadence as is occuring in America. We are on the down-side of the mountain and picking up speed toward oblivion.
Our President has no objectives, political or otherwise, Except his personal survival and enrichment at the expense of whoever gets in his way.
I hope this helps explain some of my views.
