Gordon, that's just it - my only information came from the shorts; I don't know who bought this stock, all the information the "shorts" provided was factual and could not be refuted. I came to the board last week asking for information; Art right away gave me my first post attacking me and threatening me; then I got loads of information from others who provided links; I didn't know anything about the company someone mentioned the call letters to me and I came here first and got some links from a John G. which I followed up and was stunned at the Donavant materials and some of the associates.
I was not impressed with the rise in stock price from 50 cents to 30 bucks either then the gradual steady decline all within 4 months; the only good thing I did find out was that there is a software product - now I don't know who has the proprietry rights to it or who benefits from the distribution of anything that works; I put what I found into the necessary hands of teh company I am involved with that was going to have an interest in association with this company and advised that Dunavant is the RED FLAG in my ignorant humble opinion and I did not think it would be a good choice to announce any relationship with a firm associated with Donavant.
I am not an expert - I have only been investigating since December 1998 - with a little comprehension skills anyone can figure out a big picture. Trouble is not many can read let alone comprehend.
I have never been afraid of so called "shorts" nor do I have anything against any one particular style of trading method; ie I have no envy; I have no short skills - I do know that the shorts have an invaluable source of referencing information and do a whole lot of research on companies and value their credibility. Me too - I value my credibility so we are in the same league in that department.
I have never blamed the messengers and never will; for doing due diligence or investigating firms and calling management on their word - I have been accused of being a "short" like it was something to be ashamed of. (because they added so many other than pearly adjectives to their description of my style of truth digging and presentations).
Regardless, I don't know who any longs are or were; but someone had to be buying those stocks up at 30 bucks and had to be fools and fooled - those whoever they are I feel sorry for.
As for Trader14U - all I know is he found me at another thread and posted to me I was an ambulance chaser and hahahaha stuff - I immediately came after to see what he was talking about - see he/she thought I was an investor or some pumper in this and was rubbing my face in some poop; he also thought that when a dog is dying, go find it and kick it hahahaha, stuff like that. I guess he thought I bought the stock and wanted to let me know how good he felt that I was a loser.
Well, I have been down in life, and I know what it feels like to get kicked and put down; (I also know what it feels like 20 years later to have those same people try to come up and kiss both sides of your cheeks too - just as sickening) so I was just stating to T14U to just leave people who are down and out alone don't rub it in.
It wasn't anything T14U said to me that would have gotten his/her posts removed because there was nothing truly profane nor derogatory in it so I don't know anything about the posts.
I am and have not blamed anyone - I am not one of those feely good pass around the responsibility people - everyone has to live with their decisions; I do not feel sorry for Longs or Shorts - I have empathy in degrees to which one suffers - based upon complete ignorance or shrewd cunning.
Name one post where I blamed anyone about anything.
When I was in SATH one of my first picks at 2.50 in December 98 and it went to 7 bucks in Jan then Feb from 10 to 30 bucks within a week - that was my first lessons about how to pay close attention to the information shorts have - they are usually the first to get negative information and try to warn people and longs protect their stand - like drawing battle lines and the longs just refuse to let go and read. I don't know why but facts were coming out left and right to get out of the SATH tank - shorts were making money left and right and the longs just stood there - now I did not feel empathy for them - I got out of it at 20 bucks and was pretty glad for the information provided by anybody. Now when I am in a stock issue or investigating something, I pay particular attention to the character of the board - if it is loaded with shorts - there is certain to be a wealth of information; usually it is the RED FLAG to proceed with caution and immediately read everything.
Anyway, I don't know anything about shorting a stock all I know is that I can get alot of information and resource links to do my own research on any stock I want.
I admit it, I don't know anything about anything and I don't blame anyone but myself. Now, I am going to take one of my parrots to the vet to get her wings clipped and then her wings will be SHORT, and everyone will be better off for it. :-) Thanks for the post and enjoy a good weekend, over and out :) Jacalyn |
