†...Hi Don Martini, Psalm 113 is a most beautiful Psalm ...†

but only as beautiful as all of God's word.

Don, you wrote of it:
The first 3 verses emphasize the name of God, expurgated from the translation you
quoted. Here's the ASV1901:

Forgive me Don, but that statement is a total misunderstanding on your part. I would, if I had the time, get into great detail on this issue with you, and help you to understand the Name of the LORD, if you are so inclined. I would not mind it, to sometime in the near future, post a complete and thorough study for your benefit. If you are sincerely interested.

In short however, the simple answer right now is that, whenever the name of God is in all caps, ie, LORD, as it was translated in the post I posted, it pays full homage to our great and awesome God.

It is also an acrostic in more than a few scriptures and it is also locked in the masoretic text, it cannot be changed or disputed. LORD,in all caps, is His rightful name. And from the Hebrew it is translated YHVH.

Jehovah is not the proper name of God, and although many use it...they use it incorrectly. Jehovah is a made up version of his true Title...YHVH. All praise and Glory be unto Him!!

Nice talking with you again Don, have to run...
May God bless and keep you

Shalom...><>
