I though I heard this morning on CNBC that SUN was meeting with analysts. That probably explains why the stock is holding well in this sell-off. Still have my order to buy back SUQFM at 1/8th, market makers are not letting it drop below 3/16th.

One potential wild card which may affect financial stocks over the next couple of weeks could be some hedge funds and banks taking big hits from wrong interest rate bets. The last time rates moved so sharply (in 1995) Bankers Trust got into lot of trouble for selling derivatives to corporates which took big losses due to jump in short term rates. The speed with which the 30 yr bond has gone over 6% is truly amazing. I guess the bond market has already priced 2 and not 1 rate.

Regards

Alok
