I have the third edition, so you check what the first says when you get home and let us know. I went back and looked for another post from Joan but I was the last one who posted and I thought we'd pretty much concluded the discussion. I cited my source, stated I found it peculiar reasoning but legitimate because it was, after all, Fowler, and I swore I never use 'me' with 'than'. So I'm done.
