Whoops, Sorry 'bout the bum link to the barrons piece. Glad you found the piece I was talking about in spite of my directions.

I was taught that you had a good chance at a better bid/ask spread between the 4-4:10 window.
I then started seeing some chances at plays where news was released BEFORE the options market was closed.
Not often, BUT every once in a while if you kept your eyes and ears open a news item would appear between 4-4:10.

You had to be REALLY fast on the draw and I usually wasn't quick enough (you have to find the news, digest it, find the symbol...VERY exciting/stressful) BUT when you were lucky....HEEEEHAWWW.
I knew it wouldn't last forever, but a guy can hope.
