You are simply wrong. Take a look at semi performance in '94 versus the market. Take a look at the cutting edge stocks in '87 and their performance post crash. Semis have their own rhythym, and if they are moving strong to the upside in a crash, they will quickly recover.

Zoot suits? The inventor passed away about three years ago. What a character. He used to have a shop at Roosevelt and Canal in Chicago, which used to be a great neighborhood until the Gen X Yuppies ruined it.
