William Griffin- What are your thoughts on the prospects of LOAX? I like to pull in info from many different people from many different backgrounds to make decisions on things. Any facts that you can summarize for us from this press release are welcomed.

My take on this press release is that this equipment is not up to par with that of other RBOCs and CLECs currently releasing DSL solutions. LOAX has chosen equipment that is an incremental improvement over ISDN when there are competing solutions out there with better bandwidth that don't show performance degradements with multiple users and don't require truck rolls for new copper lines or configs. Nortel's new proprietary DSL equipment (as opposed to the g.lite standard that is emerging) has 1 meg upstream (upstream from the c.o.) and around half that going the other way. LOAX is releasing a solution that quite a bit slower than their competitors which are rolling out DSL. In addition, I believe (but I'm not positive) that this equipment requires a truck roll to install and thus has up front costs for the ISP/CLEC before revenue comes in the door. By the way, it usually takes a few visits to the customer to "get it right". This also requires an additional copper line to the home which by definition requires a telecom truck to come to the customer premise.

QUESTION: OUT OF THE THIRTEEN EMPLOYEES, WHICH ONE WILL DRIVE OUT TO THE CUSTOMER'S PREMISE TO INSTALL THE SECOND LINE AND MAKE THE NECESSARY DSL CONFIGURATIONS? MAYBE THE SAME GUY THAT PUT THIS PRESS RELEASE OUT?
