Of course the real winner in this will be Cisco Systems. They are huge and they are well respected. Their ADSL is supposed to be the fastest. Small companies stocks will rise, because they will sell some of the product, but They will never become dominant.

Another interesting product is the 6 meg a secong regular sized modem. There are only three companies that I know of that make them. I can only remember two Pairgain and Cisco. That is one reason for Pairgain's big run.
