Gordon Langston, I read your post and link, and I stand corrected regarding the shopping.com HALT - where in March IBUY management was accused of and found guilty of "stock manipulation to prop up the price". details laid out in link provided at Langston post.

Many investors were evidently saved becasue compaq saw an opportunity to get the assets they needed ASAP.

And here I thought the rumours were just that vendors weren't being paid, see what FACTS do to straighten things out and get things straight. The reason I got out of the stock at 12 bucks is I ordered a trunk from the company and it was flimsy - poor product was my concern. If I was unsatisfied with a product, repeat consumption was NOT going to happen by many consumers and my stock valu would plummet due to poor revenues. I had no idea at the time of the BIG PICTURE. I am still a neophyte in this world of trade having only been born into it 7 months ago.

I am getting educated every day in this dynamic and fascinating environment. Thanks for that post :) Jacalyn
