Michelle:

I have never considered Amazon a good investment, but am starting to rethink that stance.

I have been using Amazon for two months now, and while my auctions have not been nearly as successful as they are on eBay, I have found navigating Amazon autions a real pleasure compared to eBay.

One small example: Amazon doesn't force me to enter my user ID and password every time I want to make a bid.

eBay forces you to enter it every time, and won't even respond to the suggestion that they offer that convenience.

Sidenote: It looks like eBay is giving up a week's worth of revenue because they are refunding all fees for all active auctions.

THAT, IMO, is a very good first step in the right direction, but it will have a negative impact on this quarter's revenues and profits.
