Anything is possible.

I'm no lawyer, and don't even have L.D.'s experience with them.
On the question of whether the band and Sungold could work together, it seems to me that lots of us have had trouble with work-mates and gone on to work with them. The issues in dispute are about money, power and egos. It seems to me that those matters are fluid, ie.; if two parties who have had conflicts realize they stand to make a lot of money if they work together, then they can find a way. In the corporate world, rival firms often merge for their mutual benefit. I'm not saying there won't be some casualties along the way. Some of the key people may choose not to be involved.

I've heard that litigation can be very lengthy. However, in this case, time is on the company's side. Sungold has an option on about 250 acres near Toledo beach; 70 of which are reserved for the band. There is nothing to stop the company from developing that land. It's prime land, and nearby acres are selling for about $65,000. The litigation does not restrict Sungold, it restricts the band. The company can continue work on whatever it likes. The band on the other hand really can't do a darn thing. It's just stuck. I've no idea when the band members will clue in to the fact that they've just scuppered themselves for what could be a very long time, but when they do figure it out, and one or two of the key persons are either replaced or changed their tune; I could imagine that negotiations might proceed fairly quickly. Sungold already has all the plans and a proposal ready to go, and certain adjustments could be made very quickly compared to the pace of litigation.

I just wanted to suggest another possibility. Don't let me disrupt the gloom and doom. This is a tough crowd to please. We get some good news and everyone gets depressed.
