Hi Eric,
I enjoy reading all of your posts very much .
I read in WSJ Friday 6/11 about the case of a trading firm using the
ECN, Instinet, to sell in the early hour when the other firms such as
Pershing posting the BID price higher than the previous day close.
From the reading, in all two cases, this trader could make the profitable trades only because he owned the stocks( OR may be he used
the stock of his firm inventory). For individual trader like us it is
out of luck if we do not have stock on hand. ( Am I correct ??)

Like to have your comments on this article since it gives the reader
an impression of how easy it is to make that kind of profit.
