Yes, that's exactly it. Now Intel has to pull off Coppermine and Camino with no slips and somehow deal with the Rambus time bomb and then do it all again later with Willamette. AMD just keeps improving the K7 and as time goes by 3rd parties come on with better chip sets.

Meanwhile Intel sues Via to prevent them from solving Intel's PC133 problem with a new chip set. Maybe Intel can do all these things but I'll bet the pressure is rising.
