I agree also. OT is not a black box. I've been using it for five years and I'm very pleased with it. You have to have knowledge of how to trade stocks - there are plenty of good books out there to read. A good place to start is at Nirvana's web site and read what Ed Downes has to say about breakouts, consolidation, gaps and other ways to trade. He has a little information booth there for you. There are times when you get a signal (up or down) and it's not a good signal, if you know how to read a chart - you would realize that it was a bad signal and stay away from it. Pick out good stocks from IBD with 80 EPS and A or B accumulation and put them into your profile. I auto run all of the profiles and then pick out the longs and shorts and put them into OT Real Time and watch for breakouts, apexes, trading ranges. I have about 100 stocks in my RT profile and I get buying opportunities all day long and have been very successful with it. It's very easy to pick up a thousand dollars a day. If you are using end of day charts, start trading in the game mode until you feel confident with your ability. When you get a signal, look at the chart and see what it tells you - trendlines - volume climaxes - gaps - saucers - support - resistance - consolidations. Don't think that just because you received a signal that you have to buy the stock. That signal is only telling you about the tested systems that are firing - then it is up to you to disect the stock chart. As you go along, you'll start to get favorite indicators that you like and once you feel comfortable with them you can tweak then to just the way you want. Well I've kind of rambled on, but I feel very strongly about OT. I've used WOW, Computrac, Worden's, SmartTrader, and AIQ. Now all I use is OT. I hope that i have been of help. |
