You'd have to believe that they were/are in order to understand the commentary the way you suggest. Since ISP solutions was and is their business it is clear that Ascend's products would make it possible for the *ISPs* to market the availability of 56K service. How is that misleading to anyone? Ascend doesn't market to end users (at that product level)and their intent was clear to stockholders who understood the business Ascend is in (and what it's not in). The stuff about the right technical solutions relates to the interfaces they have available. If you can't understand the entire paragraph, taken as a whole, in that sense then you're just being overly hairsplitting. To say that investors were misled is a crock of you-know-what. Dee Jay
