Incidentally, has anyone here been tracking other last mile developments, like the one released by BellSouth this past week, bringing fiber almost into the living room? Actually, that is even an option, depending on the types of services they offer in the future when they receive tariffing approvals, substituting coax, twisted pair, with multimode at the optical network unit. But this will likely remain an option that businesses will take for super 100 Mb/s services. It's interesting, just the same.

I don't post this here to pose a stick in the eye threat, although it could very well materialize that way. Rather, to pose the question that should be obvious. That is, do you see the possibility of ATHM seeking entry onto such systems, especially in those geographic regions where upgrades will be a long time in coming, and where partners do not currently exist? Even better, say, in TWX's RoadRunner country? This would make for an interesting prospect, I'd think. Comments are welcome, as always.
