I believe I experience awe at life no less than do you I would not for a moment doubt it. As to worshipping a being who purportedly "permits" some of the things that happen in this world ... I only go back to my analogy of the baby vaccinated. Should the baby deny the mother because the mother helped hurt her? Or because she is incapable of understanding how good can come out of pain? I have no idea whether God permits or initiates or allows the things which I see as painful and wrong in the world. It's frankly not something that I worry about.
