Update: the Livermore, California time capsule that was buried in 1974 by the Centennial Committee, has still not been found. (They were worried that somebody would dig it up for the bottle of wine inside, so they did not make a map. Now they want to dig it up and put the stuff in their New Deluxe Time Capsule for 2000.)

Nobody knows where it is. In fact, they can't find anyone that even knows if it was, in fact, buried. Skeptics think that somebody just drank the wine and never buried the Time Capsule at all.

They have dug up several spots in recent days, but no luck so far.

Maybe the stuff they maybe buried wasn't really...critical stuff.
