My sailing experience is limited to mud-puddle racing in Central Illinois. Hulls carved out of big bars of Ivory soap. Sold my boat when I moved to Hawaii where I was too poor to own a boat and eat three meals a day.
My son crews ocean racing when his work doesn't interfere with his life. Today they are launching the first hull of the Hawaii entry for the America's Cup. I was going to watch, but stopped to read my e-mail.
