There had certainly better be things beyond our rules of logic, because Whitehead and Russell were unable to that rules of logic are complete. For instance, one cannot deduce from a decent set of aximos that Spades are Superior to Clubs or are trumps in Bridge or Whist (see Rape of the Lock) and it matters. At least if you play bridge.
Nothing "scientific" can be proved, only disproved.
