dave, this is possible; the problem with Y2K and how the market should reflect it's effects is that no-one really knows how severe the disruptions caused by the event will be. the most pessimistic views on Y2K seem to prevail among IT professionals, the very group that has the best insight in the intricacies of the problem. this is why i agree with Yardeni that the event is generally underestimated. regards, hb
