Good memory, yes the cost basis for my current shares is around $62.

More important, however, CMGI is only 3.7% of my overall portfolio right now. So CMGI could go out of business tomorrow and I won't be getting any margin calls (not that I ever do since I use very little margin).

Same with the other Internuts. I keep them to 25% of my portfolio so if they all get cut in half, I am down 12.5%. Right now, the 50% Gains portfolio is down about 9% from its 1999 high thanks largely to retreating Internuts (and me not shorting enough the past month).

But I will still stick with my YTD return. I think we will see one or two more rallies this year which will take the portfolio much higher.

You have to be on the field to play the game. But you are right to be careful, too.
