Hi, JP! The Bay would probably be beautiful today, if you could see it. It is still quite foggy here, but I am hoping it will burn off later. My daughter is a counselor in training this summer, and their field trip on Tuesday was to the Sutro Baths. She spend numerous hours making sure no eight- or nine-year-olds fell into the ocean there. Then we found out the next day that a young homeless man doused himself with gasoline and burned himself to death at camp headquarters (a green and pastorally lovely school near Lake Merced) while they were all on the field trip. There are some things about city life that are just horrible!

Tell me more about "The Magician's Tale". What kind of book is it? You have been very good at recommending books in the past, so I am curious.

It must be hot where you live, with ripe fruit on the trees and plenty of birds singing? It feels like winter here this morning. I am missing the way the birds woke me up every morning this spring when I was in Ireland, and now that I am not there anymore, it is growing on me, and I miss it. I have been looking at charming small Irish cottages again and found this one, which is in a part of Ireland where I think I would feel very comfortable. There are a lot of very sophisticated restaurants there, the ocean, and lots of artists and nice witches in the neighborhood! <<<;-)
