Hi Bill and Thread (and Russell and crew if you are lurking),

[The Go2net Homepage] suggested improvements:

I am using Navigator 4.6. I have the following suggestions for improvement.

1) Reduce the size of the Metacrawler frame if at all possible. It is burning up lot of valuable real estate on the opening screen view.

2) The faded mustard color is not nearly as vibrant as the idea behind Go2Net, I would suggest replacing the FFCC66 with FFCC00, a far perkier image.

3)[The Go2Net Network] heading on the source page should be modified to Go2Net Network , so that what appears on the Windows task bar is Go2N.... instead of [The.... The "[The..." is nonintuitive.

4) Icons for the Go2Net family of sites, such as SI, Hypermarket etc. could be placed in a neat row, on the first screen image of the revised page, and linked either to additional detailed information lower on the screen or directly to the other site. In addition, icons for "stocks" or "news headlines" could substitute for the present frames and save valuable first eyeball glances for income producing ads, banners, listings, etc.

5) For those of us in the stone ages, still using DUN, it would be an improvement to break up the large frames below the metacrawler frame into smaller chuncks so that the page will stream better. Right now what I get is a long wait after the meatacrawler box loads and then after wondering for a while if it's the network or the GNET server that is too slow, the rest of the page slams to the screen.

Other than that, it looks fine...

Best, Ry
