She's beautiful wrapped in fog, too. Though I know you've a fondness for sunshine. Ireland's kinda dank, isn't it? I love the cottage. It and the location sound great.

"The Magician's Tale" is set in SF, a lot in the Polk Gulch and Tenderloin. The protaganist is a photographer with automomal recessive achromatopsia, which means she's completely color blind and the sun bothers her. She goes about at night among the hustlers and the homeless and takes her pictures. Her only friend, a street hustler, is killed and it follows her on the trail. The writing is wonderful. Beautifully discriptive and blunt, as well. She is ind a seedy neighborhood, after all. Hunt brings the people and the city to life.

I'm not 'bama right now. It's not very hot where I am but it tends to be very sunny. Wicked, glaring sun. Ugh. But it's nice. I have a good little pad close to work and I've been working temp but start on contract at the place next week. I miss the birds, and the ripening berries, and... <grin> It's a very good break, though.
