Maybe but fwiw Allen's Vulcan ventures is certainly steamrolling msft in the vc arena and in the distinctly internet arena so is Amazon. Msft does have some pie in the sky ventures but as far as building a solid portfolio of up-and-comers msft isn't there. I didn't think it was because they couldn't find anything to invest in, I actually thought msft had either lost focus due to the DOJ or they don't have a broadband/internet vision.
