Dennis, as I see it, AOL's problems are:

1) Overall market in a state of flux and moving down...inflation and interest rate concerns.

2) Item (1) affects large cap stocks, such as the internets. Profits being taken off the table.

3) Aol losing subscribers in Europe due to free access ISP's.

4) Aol has not clearly outlined its plans for the European market.

5) Lack of a clearly defined wide band strategy has many concerned. The Oregon court ruling wasn't much use to the stock...this is now very clear.

6) The internet "bubble" may have broken...affects Aol regardless of how well they may be doing.

7) Momentum players have left.

In summary, there's no support for the stock...thus, its on a downward trend.
